JOB DESCRIPTION

Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.

Candidates must be Midland-Odessa based. No relocation is available.

HSE Responsibilities
• Conducts HSE training for assigned locations (overhead crane, basic rigging, forklift, Quail Core).
• Leads weekly/monthly HSE meetings.
• Works with crews to improve safety standards and practices in risk assessments, inspections, audits, coaching sessions, and incident investigations; sets a personal example.
• Conducts and documents safety inspections as required; takes immediate corrective action to mitigate risk and correct any potential hazards.
• Recommends improvements to the safety management system, emergency response plan and HSE programs.
• Assists with post-incident care, investigation and prevention of future injuries.
• Assists with DOT and Non-DOT random drug screens.
• Assists with environmental plans and permits.
• Monitors client requirements and assists operations in meeting them.
• Other various duties as directed.

Qualifications
• Bilingual, English and Spanish (fluent)
• 1-3 years of experience in safety related position with a background in regulatory compliance, training, coaching and investigations.
• HSE professional certification a plus.
• Computer literacy – fluent in Microsoft Office (TEAMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ISNetworld, Veriforce, etc.
• Ability to work well with a team.
• Problem solving ability.
• Planning and organization.
• Time management.
• Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
• Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic.
• Ability to report after-hours (evenings/weekends) on an as needed basis.
• Ability to travel to Victoria, TX and Williston, ND on a quarterly basis.

Education
• High School diploma.
• Secondary education in a safety curriculum a plus.
• 1-3 years’ experience in safety related position with a background in regulatory compliance, training, coaching and investigations.
